Wild Beasts and Demons

In the world of Shinobu, there are Wild Beasts and there are Demons. There are also small animals and household pets but, they aren't that important right now. In this world, there are creatures that can naturally tap into their Qi. At one point, everyone and everything could use Qi except for humans. Humans were the last of the creatures to figure out how to use their Qi. As such, some being have a much longer lifespan than others. Use Ctrl+F to search up any of the topics in this chapter below.

Wild Beasts

Wild Beasts are essentially creatures that are known for attacking humans but, not all Wild Beasts are harmful. Some have mastered speech but, they are usually the one's who can manipulate their Qi. Some Wild Beasts have lived for hundreds of years, which has given them the ability to communicate with humans. Some Wild Beasts have managed to form contracts with humans which allow them to summon them into battle.

On average, most Wild Beasts will automatically attack people. They typically exists in the wilderness or area's that are not densely populated with humans. They typically try to avoid humans as much as possible. The power of a Wild Beast can range from the power of an Academy Student to the power of a Chunin. Sometimes they can be a tad bit stronger than a Chunin but, it shouldn't be anything that a Jounin or Kage couldn't handle.

Demons

Demons are creatures that were created out of people's will and desires. No one entirely knows where they come from. They are based on myths and legends they were once told as children's fairy tales. Eventually, they became real and started to show up. A lot of them terrorized people. Oddly enough demons are known for using the Darkness element and are major practioners of it.

In recent times, due to unique sealing methods, Demons are usually hunted down to be used for their powers. By sealing Demons, one can manipulate their Qi at will. Demons can be categorized into 3 types: Lesser Demons, High Demons and Great Demons.

Lesser Demon

Lesser Demons are the lowest class of Demons. They typically have the strength level of a Chunin. They are completely unable to communicate with humans and are known to be completely random in behaviour. Your safest bet is to never trust them. They are typically seen at night time and some of them are actually vanquished in sunlight. As the lowest class of Demon, their main way of attacking is by using the Darkness element. It is possible to seal Lesser Demons either into scrolls, a weapon or into another human being. Lesser Demons are also the most common out of all demons.

When a Lesser Demon is sealed into a character, their maximum Base Health will be increased by 200 and their maximum base Qi will be increased by 100.

High Demon

High Demons differ from Lesser Demons and Great Demons greatly. They are known for their very human-like appearance. In terms of power, they have the power level of an Elite Jounin and sometimes even Kage. They are extremely dangerous but, because of their human-like appearance, they have the ability to blend in with society. More importantly, they can live in sunlight unlike Lesser Demons. However, it is also very odd as they do not require food or sleep like most humans. They only need sleep when they are drained of their Qi. They are also very adequate in human speech and often able to hold very long conversations based on numerous subjects.

The most interesting traits about High Demons is that they are not easily sealed away. They cannot be sealed into people or scrolls. The only known way of sealing High Demons is to seal them into weapons. Usually a medium or item that is reminiscent of the High Demon's personality or characteristic traits. When sealed into a weapon, the user is able to use the abilities of that demon at will however, it is said that these weapons severely drain the Qi and stamina of the user. (Think of this weapon as a Zanpakuto from the anime Bleach)

Some High Demons, the more dangerous ones are also capable of transforming. When they transform, they take on a more demon-like appearance. Out of all demons, it is said that High Demons actually have the highest level of threat due to their versatility. Unlike Lesser Demons, High Demons are known for controling more than one element.

Great Demon

The highest level of Demon. Oddly enough, no one knows where Great Demons come from or where they reside. They are known for popping up in the middle of nowhere. It is said that they can crawl in between dimensions and come from the darkest pits of hell. They are attracted to one thing and one thing only, Qi. Which is why Ninja Villages are typically the target for most attacks.

Great Demons, when not in a frenzy, are more than capable of human speech. Their power out rivals that of a Kage and sometimes it takes multiple Kage-level warriors to take them down. Great Demons also are known for being able to use multiple elements of Qi as well as Special Affinities. This is the most unique aspect of Great Demons. Unfortunately, the only way to handle a Great Demon is by sealing them into another human being. Human beings have the ability to surpress the Qi of Demons and thus, they're only weakness is to seal them away. Great Demons cannot be sealed into scrolls, weapons or objects.

When a Great Demon is sealed into a character, their maximum Base Health will be increased by 500 and their maximum base Qi will be increased by 250.
